The Young ERC Masterclass
The European Resuscitation Council is excited to introduce the Young ERC Masterclass Programme as part of its Researcher Development initiative.
In July 2024, the first capstone event for the Young ERC Masterclass Programme took place in Graz.
The Young ERC Science Masterclass aims to nurture the next generation of resuscitation scientists through webinars, workshops, journal clubs, and educational events.
PARQ Collaboration
Previously, ERC was involved in the PARQ as part of the Researcher Development project.
PARQ aimed to develop prevention and treatment guidelines to reduce the differences in survival rates and the overall burden of SCA (sudden cardiac arrest) across Europe.
The PARQ Consortium Meeting and Training held on 15-18 May 2023 at Lago di Garda, Italy, which was a notable achievement for the ERC.
Young Investigator Competition
The ERC celebrates the achievements of young investigators at its annual scientific congress, which is part of the Researcher Development initiative. During this competition, participants deliver high-quality presentations on various topics, including team handovers during cardiac arrest, automated detection of cardiac arrest, outcome prediction based on ECG signal analysis, and treatments aimed at improving outcomes for post-resuscitation care syndrome, among others.
Researcher Network
ERC is pleased to collaborate with different EU organisations. In the past, the ERC was involved in ESCAPEnet, which ended on January, 2023 with 104 published papers and 13 PhD theses at the time of submission of the final report.
