European Paediatric Immediate Life Support
The European Paediatric Immediate Life Support (EPILS) course trains healthcare providers to recognise and manage critically ill children and paediatric cardiac arrest in the crucial first minutes, while awaiting the resuscitation team.
The European Paediatric Immediate Life Support (EPILS) course is a 1-day programme designed for healthcare professionals who care for children but are not usually part of a resuscitation team.
Participants are trained to rapidly assess and manage paediatric emergencies, provide effective basic life support, and deliver safe interventions in the first 1–5 minutes of deterioration or cardiac arrest. The course also prepares candidates to support and work within the resuscitation team once it arrives.
To join this course, you must be a healthcare professional with an understanding of Basic Life Support.
