On March 4^th, the 2022 ERC course director day took place in Amsterdam. Despite all difficulties, we welcomed 60 national course directors from 15 different countries and all relevant course formats.

The day started with a minute of silence for all our friends from all our NRCs who are affected by the war in Ukraine.

This was followed by an introduction of the newly composed Science and Education Committees. Throughout the day, recent problems like “running courses during the pandemic” as well as the future educational strategy were discussed. Sufficient time was allocated for networking as this event clearly underlined the need for in-person meetings following the long period of virtual meetings during the pandemic.

The Course Director Day was followed by the concluding face-to-face day of the 8^th ERC Educator Masterclass, following the initial virtual meeting in November 2020. We are delighted to announce that all 20 Educator Candidates successfully completed the day and can now progress on their journey to becoming full ERC Educators.
