In a landmark development for cardiac arrest research and public health awareness, the European Resuscitation Council has unveiled its innovative Cardiac Arrest Dashboard. This initiative represents a significant improvement in the accessibility of cardiac arrest survival data across Europe, which were previously buried in complex scientific studies.
The dashboard is designed to offer transparent, user-friendly access to vital information, marking a major step forward in public health data sharing. By presenting survival rates and other critical data in an easily understandable format, the ERC aims to increase awareness and understanding of cardiac arrest outcomes.
Dr Siobhán Masterson PhD, the first author recently published on Resuscitation Plus, emphasised the importance of this tool in bridging the gap between complex scientific data and public knowledge.
Adding his voice, Prof Gavin Perkins, Director of Science and Research, lauded the dashboard as an exceptional tool for visualising data gathered through the EuReCa collaboration. “The dashboard provides an excellent way to visualise data collected as part of the EuReCa collaboration,” he declared. This statement highlights the collaborative effort behind this endeavour and its potential to transform the way cardiac arrest data are understood and utilized across Europe.
