The Young ERC Resuscitation Science Masterclass aims to connect, inspire, and support the growth of the next generation of resuscitation scientists worldwide through education, networking and collaboration. The second edition of the Resuscitation Science Masterclass started in September 2024 and the application period for the third edition will be from 1 March 2025 to 1 June 2025 at noon (CET).

Why you should join the Resuscitation Science Masterclass:
Target audience:
All aspiring researchers with a strong interest in resuscitation science are invited to apply. Participants should be in the early stage of their scientific career and have a basic understanding of research fundamentals. There is no age limit to participate. Applications from students, trainees and professionals from all clinical and non-clinical backgrounds involved in resuscitation science are invited.
Time commitment and schedule:
The 28 selected participants should expect to commit at least 10 hours per month to masterclass activities.
Collaboration with Resuscitation Plus:
Masterclass participants will have the opportunity to prepare and submit a special journal club article together with experienced researchers. This is made possible through collaboration with the fully open-access peer-reviewed journal Resuscitation Plus.
Masterclass faculty:
Participants will learn from international experts in resuscitation science and their fellow masterclass participants.

Masterclass diploma:
Upon successful completion of the Young ERC Resuscitation Science Masterclass the participants will receive a diploma.
Selection process and timeline
Applications will be assessed by two independent reviewers based on pre-specified criteria. The combined reviewer assessments are the foundation for the selection of applicants. Overall diversity in terms of professional background, gender and geography will be balanced across the 28 selected participants. All applicants will be informed about the selection process outcome via email. Please ensure regular access to the email provided in the form. Selected applicants must actively confirm their participation in the Resuscitation Science Masterclass.
